David Eyles from Truro is taking part in the iconic Padstow to Rock Swim on July 31 for the tenth time.
David will be joining over 300 swimmers on the mid afternoon tide, some will be travelling literally from all over the world to take part and raise vital funds for Marie Curie. He hopes to raise over £500 this year which will fund 25 hours of local Marie Curie nursing care.
Although he has no family links to Marie Curie David is very impressed with the excellent support provided to patients who are terminally ill and their family’s at a time of great need and worry. He said: “It’s a great swim, very well organised and usually good conditions which is great for those people doing their first open water swim.”
