Forecast bad weather has forced the postponement of a Truro festival aimed at celebrating recovering addicts who have come through adversity.
The Addaction Hope Festival was scheduled to take place in Boscawen Park on Saturday afteroon, but due to expected high winds and rain it will now be pushed back to next month.
Tracy Smith, Addaction’s community engagement lead, had said about the festival: "The aim of the festival is to celebrate how people come through adversity and treatment and flourish."
Bands had been booked, along with planned circus skills workshops and hair braiding, and a special performance of children’s story The Ugly Duckling.
A Cornwall Council spokesperson said: "The new date for the Addaction Hope festival will be September 24," and more information about the rescheduled festival will be released shortly.
