A homeless man was left unconscious in the road in Newquay following an attack by a group of men in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Police are investigating the violent assault are asking members of the public for help identifying a man they are keen to speak with in connection to the incident.
The victim was assaulted in St George’s Road at around 4.30am on New Year’s Day, after being chased by a group of men, and was left unconscious in the road.
Three suspects have been arrested and released on bail until March 30 while enquiries continue.
Police wish to speak to a man in pictured in CCTV images and have asked members of the public for help identifying him.
A force spokesperson said: "We believe that a number of people were in the area at the time who may have witnessed the attack; police are also appealing for these people to come forward."
