Police are investigating a fight in Truro in which a man stamped on another's head on Sunday night (2/4).

Officers were called to a report of an assault at the Truro Conservative Club in Lemon Street, between 7.10pm and 7.30pm.

A force spokesperson said: "An altercation broke out between two men. One man stamped on the other man’s head while he was on the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.

"The victim, a 43-year-old man from Truro, sustained injuries to his head and neck. He attended Treliske Hospital but was later discharged."

Police said enquiries are ongoing to locate the offender, and no arrests have been made at this time.
