Truro hosted its first Children’s Fun Day when over 30 shops, café’s and eateries got involved and provided fun, games and offers.

Many people took advantage of the free activities and enjoyed the children’s rides dotted around the city centre.

Alun Jones, Truro BID manager said: “ We decided to organise a day aimed at young children and families to celebrate the variety of children’s retailers and businesses we have in Truro. All of the toy shops joined in the fun with each setting up pop up activities and stalls on Lemon Quay.”

The Entertainer, who are due to open their first Cornwall store in Truro later this month, also joined in the event, with games and promotions.

Many café’s offered free or discounted lunches for children, and retailers offered free activities including Easter bonnet making, creating a teddy, underpants activities and craft workshops.
