Citizens Advice Cornwall are launching a new service aimed at parents in the Truro area.

The free outreach service will provide advice and information on a range of issues, from debt and benefits to housing, employment and discrimination. All advice is confidential, impartial and independent and provided by fully-trained advisers.

Catherine McCormick, of Citizens Advice Cornwall, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our service to parents in the Truro area. People sometimes need a helping hand to find out what their options are to overcome a problem in their lives and this new service provides advice at a convenient location for many parents in the area.”

The new advice sessions will take place at Tregolls Children’s Centre, Chellew Road on the third Tuesday of every month. To make an appointment contact the centre on 01872 322661.

The new service in Truro joins the growing network of children’s centres which offer Citizens Advice services in Penzance, Hayle, Helston, Falmouth, Camborne, Illogan, Redruth, Bodmin, Callington, Launceston, Liskeard, Looe, Newquay, Pondhu (St Austell), and Torpoint.
