Concern is growing for a holidaymaker who discharged himself from Truro’s Royal Cornwall Hospital early this morning before being fully treated.
Police are now asking for the public’s help in finding the 49-year-old, who is believed to be called Mark Harris.
Mr Harris, who is white and approximately 6ft tall, was wearing what police describe as a “distinctive” bright yellow T-shirt and black jeans, which had been cut up the front on both lower legs by hospital staff as a result of his treatment.
He was last seen at the hospital at around 6.15am this morning A police spokesperson said: “Mark isn't believed to have any strong ties to the area and was on holiday in Cornwall from his home town in Yorkshire.”
Anyone who thinks they might have seen Mr Harris this morning is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 252 15/07/17.
