A pensioner has died after being hit by a bus in Truro on Monday morning.
Police were called at around 9.45am on July 24 to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Station Road, emergency services attended the scene and localised road closures were put in place.
Cornwall Air Ambulance was also called and the man was initially treated at the scene, at which point police said he had "suffered serious, life threatening injuries."
A police spokesperson said on Tuesday morning: "An 82 year old local man suffered serious, life threatening injuries and was taken to Treliske hospital where he was declared deceased."
The man's next of kin have been informed and enquiries are underway.
