The children and practitioners at Happy Days at Truro’s Penair Nursery raised £840 at their Big Toddle event for Cornwall’s Birth And Baby Appeal (BABA).
The children all put their best foot forward in a sponsored walk to raise money for the appeal. Karen Murrish, fundraising manager for Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We were amazed at the wonderful donation from the children and their families taking part in the Waddle Toddle.
"It was heart-warming to hear that the sponsored event received such great support due to the care experienced by so many of the families at Royal Cornwall Hospital. The support of Happy Days Nursery will go directly to help Cornish babies get the very best start in life.
"The transformation taking place in the neonatal and maternity units at Royal Cornwall Hospital will be making a very real difference to future families and this support will be making the additional equipment and refurbishments a reality.”
