Tributes have been paid to a man who was killed in a collision involving a bus in Truro on Monday.

Police have identified the man as Peter John Hoadley, who was 82-years-old, and died as a result of the collision on Station Road.

Mr Hoadley's family released a tribute, saying: “Beloved father of Simon, Ben and Daniel, ex/husband of Liz and cherished grandfather of Perran, Meryn, Kensa, Sabine, Siena , Rosa, Harek and Soren, he will be sorely missed .

“We will celebrate his life and mark his passing at St. Johns Church, Lemon Street, Truro at 12 noon on August 22. All who knew him and wish to attend are welcome.”

Police were informed at around 9.45am on Monday, July 24, that there had been a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Station Road, Truro.

Emergency services attended the scene and localised road closures were put in place.
