POLICE are appealing for witnesses after serious road accident left an 85-year-old fighting for his life.

The man from the St Austel area sustained life threatening injuries following the collision on Monday, February 19 on the A390 at the junction of the B3275 in Tresillian, Cornwall.

The accident happened at around 11.15am when Police were called to a serious road traffic collision involving a white car, a blue Skoda car and a grey Peugeot.

As a result of the incident the driver of the Skoda, the 85-year-old man, received life-threatening injuries and was taking to Treliske Hospital.

The occupants of the Peugeot received minor injuries.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for witnesses to come forward contacting police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting log number 208 19/02/18.
