BAFTA award winning comedy star Robert Webb has just been added to the line up of this year's Port Eliot Festival joining Gaz Coombes formerly of Supergrass, Chris Difford from Squeeze and rock photographer extraordinaire Jill Furmanovsky.

Already announced for the festival are Baxter Dury, Gwenno, Teleman, Nabihah Iqbal, Jim Ghedi, Andrew Weatherall, Justin Robertson, Hannah Peel, Dads on Drugs, Martha Sprackland, Confidence Man, Adelle Stripe, Will Burns, 77:78, Boy Azooga, Stick in the Wheel and many others from the world of books, fashion, food and poetry.

Since leaving Supergrass, Gaz Coombes has enjoyed a highly successful solo career and releases his new album World's Strongest Man in May, which combines gorgeous, experimental electronic landscapes, lush choruses, Krautrock influences and introspective West Coast hip hop. He will headline the Park stage on Saturday night.

Robert Webb – one half of BAFTA-winning Mitchell & Webb and also of the acclaimed Peep Show will be coming to the Bowling Green to discuss ‘How Not To Be a Boy’. His hilarious and heartbreaking ‘part-memoir, part call-to-arms’, in which he scrutinises the Rules for Being a Man and considers ‘the absurd expectations boys and men have thrust upon them at every stage of life’.

Also announced are Insecure Men aka Saul Adamczewski and Ben Romans-Hopcraft of Fat White Family and Childhood respectively. Their first LP together is full of beautiful tunes and melodies that belie some of the themes of the likes of ‘Mekong Glitter’ and ‘The Saddest Man in Penge’, to name but two.

Chris Difford will be playing a set in the Church, and chatting about his memoir, Some Fantastic Place: My Life In and Out of Squeeze.

One of Britain’s foremost poets, Salena Godden’s will bring her electrifying live performances which have earned her a devoted following to the festival.

Award-winning photographer Jill Furmanovsky's 40-year career have included pictures of Bob Marley, Leonard Cohen, Madness, Bjork, Chic, The Cure, The Clash, Alex Chilton, Captain Beefheart, Kate Bush, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, Oasis, Blondie, Amy Winehouse, Joy Division and Bob Dylan. She’ll be interviewed by Will Hodgkinson, of The Times and showing seminal photographs from her influential career.

Running from 26-29 July 2018, Port Eliot Festival takes residence on the park and woodlands of the ancient Port Eliot estate at St Germans on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall. It also finds its way into the indescribable historic House (the oldest continually inhabited dwelling in the country) and into the oldest church in Cornwall.
