Two people had to be rescued from a blazing house in Truro during the early hours of this morning.
Three fire crews from Truro and Falmouth were called to Alverton Terrace just after half past midnight today, where they found a fire on the second floor covering an area of 20 metres by 40 metres.
Wearing breathing apparatus, fire fighters battled their way into the house to rescue two casualties from the same floor as the fire.
The pair were put into the care of paramedics, who took them to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske while the fire fighters put out the blaze.
