Businesses in Truro have been mopping up today after torrential rain flooded parts of the city centre.
Overnight thunderstorms and torrential rain this morning caused extensive flooding around Victoria Square and Little Castle Street.
Manhole covers were forced up by the pressure of water and some have been blaming the flooding on the new bus lanes in the area.
Subway Sandwiches was engulfed in six inches of water while the offices of Bunters Bar in Little Castle Street were also flooded.
Other businesses were also flooded and streets became raging torrents.
Sainsbury's was forced to close for 45 minutes after it was struck by lightning and patients had to be moved from a ward at the Royal Cornwall Hospital after a ceiling leaked.
There was also flooding reported in Morlaix Avenue and Arch Hill. Send us your pictures of the flooding to editorial@packetseries.co.uk or by mobile to PKNEWS 80360
