A sparkling evening of entertainment is in store for anyone lucky enough to have a ticket to the Bright Young Stars Shine for Precious Lives show at Truro’s Hall for Cornwall on Friday, February 26.
Some of Cornwall’s brightest young stars will be coming together for a common cause – to showcase their talents, dazzle their audience, and help raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Appeal.
Compered by Pirate FM’s Bob McCreadie, performers include Camborne Youth Band, Cornwall Boys Choir, Cornwall Youth Jazz Orchestra, Duchy Ballet, Eden, and Funky Feet Dance School.
Cornwall Youth Jazz Orchestra is one of the acts who will be performing in the show. Musical director Andy Bilham said: “Cornwall Youth Jazz Orchestra are delighted and honoured to be asked to perform for Children’s Hospice South West. This is a real opportunity for us to play to an appreciative and enthusiastic audience at a great venue in order to raise as much money as possible to help build a hospice in Cornwall.”
The award winning Camborne Youth Band are also looking forward to performing in support of the Precious Lives Appeal. Musical director Alan Pope said: “Our band members feel it is particularly special, as young people, to be given the opportunity to help other young people and their families by taking part in this fundraising concert on behalf of the Precious Lives Appeal.”
Bright Young Stars Shine for Precious Lives from 7:30pm at the Hall for Cornwall, Truro, on Friday, February 26. Tickets cost £12 or £9 for under 16s. Book your ticket now from the Hall for Cornwall Box Office, Back Quay, Truro by telephone: 01872 262 466 or online at: www.hallforcornall.co.uk
