Huge traffic queues built up this morning on the A39 from Truro to the Wadebridge showground, most heading for the Royal Cornwall Show.

Some motorists took more than two hours to reach the showground.

It's royal visit day at the Royal Cornwall Show and the Princess Royal will be opening the new members' pavilion.

Thousands of people are again expected to visit the show and with a good forecast for most of the day, there is plenty to do and see.

Among those celebrating are the members of the Helston and St Keverne YFC who won the top award for their food and farming display.

Cars need to be banned from going to the show to stop this traffic congestion and air pollution.
