BUDOCK
ST BUDOCK PARISH CHURCH: The church has seen a very busy Easter period with the church full to overflowing on Easter Day, the service was led by the Rev Geoffrey Bennett.
Celebrations continued this last weekend with the Golden Wedding Anniversary of David and Tina Mead. There was a Service of Celebration on Saturday afternoon led by Mr Bennett when the happy couple renewed their wedding vows. They were joined by all their family, children and grandchildren and many friends from near and far including many from St Budock Church. The organist on this occasion was Christopher Gray, the new Director of Music at Truro Cathedral. He ended the service with a superb rendition of Widor's Toccata.
Later in the evening there was a dinner and barn dance, thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
The Service of Sung Eucharist on Sunday was led by the Rev Barrington Bennetts.
Lessons were read by David and Penny Williams and the Gospel by Mr Bennetts. The organist was Robert Fletcher.
Following the service, the Baptism took place of Gracie Mollie Woodman, when she was welcomed into the church family of St Budock.

Those who whimped out missed out on the Carnival held on Saturday. Torrential rain failed miserably to dampen the spirits of those taking part though the small number of spectators adversely affected the size of the charity collection.
