BUDOCK WATER

PARISH CHURCH: The service of Morning Prayer was led by the Rev Geoffrey Bennett.

Children of the Junior Church stayed for the first part of the service and then left to enjoy their own form of worship. Lessons were read by Mrs B Tribe and Mr D Mead with the Gospel being read by Mrs D Robbins.

The service revolved around the 23rd Psalm and Mr Bennett's sermon centred on the pace of life today and how we do not take enough time to spend with God. Everyone is under too much pressure without enough moments of peace. It was time to take note of the words of the 23rd Psalm, "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters". He encouraged everyone to listen to that still, small voice of calm.

Intercessions were led by Mrs M Godley and Mrs S Weller. Organist was Mr R Fletcher.
