ST MICHAEL'S CHURCH: The "face" of Parish Communion on Passion Sunday was sombre and austere, with a large, wooden cross standing at the side of the altar and purple liturgical vestments. In his sermon, the Rector, Canon David Miller, talked a lot about faces but especially that of Jesus, as He was determined to go to Jerusalem and face a terrible death. This was not the end of the story, however, and the faithful now face death knowing they will rise with Jesus. |
