MULLION: METHODIST MONDAY CLUB: November proved busy as ever for Mullion Methodist Monday Club. Apart from running the homebakes stall at the Methodist Feast Bazaar, members were involved in other aspects of the three-day event, already covered earlier.
A large party of members and friends thoroughly enjoyed the musical High Society at Helston's Epworth Hall.
At the Old Cornwall Society's November meeting, Andrew Langdon's illustrated lecture on ancient Cornish crosses covered another interesting aspect of our rich heritage.
This was followed by an intensive planning meeting for the Christmas programme. With the Tree Festival depicting "Christmas Around the World", members were busy producing flags of all nations to decorate the club's tree in the chapel vestibule.
The month concluded with the popular Victorian Christmas Market. As the club's second fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support in Cornwall, this has more than doubled the amount already raised. Thanks are due to all who worked so hard, as well as those who supported the effort on the night.
Now the congregation plunges into the festivities with vigour and enthusiasm, never forgetting the Reason for the Season! Watch those posters, so you don't miss a thing!
