FLOWER CLUB: The 2008 season started with a meeting at the Ord Statter Pavilion on Monday, February 4, when a new demonstrator to the club, Lesley Blay (Stenalees) kept the audience enthralled with her subject "Winter into Summer".
The monthly competition "In the Bleak Mid Winter" was well supported with Sylvia Ollerenshaw providing the winning design with Jean Frith, second, and Elizabeth Doidge, third.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, March 3, when Janet Crossman (Launceston) will demonstrate "Spring is Here" which is also the competition title. Visitors are most welcome - enquiries to 01326 372071.
