PORTHLEVEN METHODIST CHURCH: Despite the inclement weather, attendances were good at events throughout Holy Week and on Easter Day itself. Maundy Thursday evening saw a different' style of Holy Communion, with participants enjoying food together prior to the distribution of the symbolic bread and wine. |

PORTHLEVEN METHODIST CHURCH: The theme for morning worship on Passion Sunday was "Vision" and the service was led by John Hall. His wife, Pam Hall, read the Scripture lessons and also talked to the children. David Philp was the organist. The preacher for the Evening Service was Louse Luing, from Rosudgeon, who talked about God's work of salvation through Jesus. John Gilbert was at the organ. |

APOSTOLIC CHURCH: "Godliness with contentment is great gain" 1 Tomothy 6:6, was the subject of the morning service on Sunday, when Eunice Thomas contrasted the discontent of the world with the contentment found in a personal relationship with God, founded in gratitude for what God has done; in finding God's purpose for our life; putting God first; focusing on generosity, and on the spiritual rather than the material life. |
