There is a action packed line-up planned for this year's West Cornwall Motor Show, but there is still time to be part of this fantastic family day out.
Taking place on Sunday, June 29, the show is looking for trades people wanting to take stands at the event held at Wendron Cricket Club in Carnkie near Helston. From refreshments to auto jumble, from crafts to services, applications are being taken now.
As well as stalls and a plethora of vehicles, there is a full day's entertainment including local band The Catch - a four piece band, fronted by Anne Sheffield. The band covers songs from Amy McDonald, Fleetwood Mac, The Zutons, Blondie and Pink Floyd. There will be a first appearance at this year's event for Elvis tribute act, Patrick Matthews. Also in the line-up are Grizzly Paw, the Singing Seagulls and the Cornwall Caledonian Pipes.
Throughout the day Swamp Circus will be providing circus skills workshops where visitors will be expertly taught to juggle, unicycle, tight-wire and stilt walk. They will also get the chance to be an acrobat or a clown for the day.
Returning to this year's show are the Searchers Old West Re-enactors with their living history exhibitions and demonstrations that provide a fascinating insight into the life and traditions of the pioneers of America's Old West. With so many gunslingers in town, there's sure to be a shoot- out before the show is over.
For motor enthusiasts, the classic cars and motorcycles will be back and Cornwall's top car dealers will be displaying their latest showroom models. Local traders and stallholders who wish to attend the West Cornwall Motor Show should visit the show website at westcornwallmotorshow.com or telephone 07950 755213 for details
