An elderly woman has died in hospital after a three car crash at Carbis Bay.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at approximately 5.10pm on Sunday, September 28.
The collision involving three vehicles occurred on the A3074, St-Ives road at Carbis Bay.
A police spokesman said that a black Ford Focus, travelling away from St-Ives had stopped and was indicating right, into Howards Hotel. A Silver Mercedes travelling behind this vehicle moved to the offside of the road and collided with a Silver Volvo travelling in the opposite direction.
The elderly lady passenger of the Mercedes, Francis Mary Hancock, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske where she sadly died of her injuries yesterday, Wednesday, October 14.
Her next of kin have been advised.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and ask that anyone with any information should contact the police on 101 quoting police reference 0682 280914.
