Police in are asking for help from the public after a 'road rage'  incident involving dangerous driving in Penzance.

Officers are currently investigating an incident of dangerous driving and road rage that took place at the junction of Albert Street and Market Jew Street, at approximately 11.10am on Tuesday, October 28, involving a Silver/Blue coloured MGZR motor car registration number RO03ZPG.

During the incident the driver of the MGZR drove at a Police Community Support Officer who was attempting to stop the vehicle, injuring the officer’s hand.

Later the same day the MGZR was seen travelling at particularly high speed along the A30 at Innis Downs.

The vehicle was located and recovered by Police on Wednesday, October 29, in the Launceston area.

Police are particularly keen to trace the driver of a Red coloured motor car that was in the vicinity of Albert Street and Market Jew Street at the time, who they say would have witnessed the initial incident.

The driver of this vehicle or anyone who saw the MGZR vehicle between October 27 and 29 are asked to contact police on 101 quoting police reference 228 28/10/14.
