Problems with the signalling system and pre-planned engineering work has been blamed for a lack of trains between St Erth and Truro.
A replacement bus serviceis up and running and First Great Western say it is hoped that the train service will resume with the 13:05 Penzance to St Erth service.
This has not been confirmed and passengers are advised to check back closer to the time of travel.
