Firefighters were called to a three storey property at Trewarveneth Street, Newlyn, yesterday evening after a report of smoke coming through floorboards.
Crews attended just after 7.30pm and found that the fire had spread from a chimney.
A thermal imaging camera, two hosereels, a stirrup pump and rods were used to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished.
The fire crews left the scene at 10pm
