Martyn Alvey, Cornwall’s community flood resilience manager said: “This announcement is really good news for businesses and homeowners across Cornwall.
“The risk of flooding is a very real one in the county, but this grant, which is available to businesses or homes that suffered from internal flooding between April 13 and March 14 can enable preventative steps to be taken protect them in the future.”
The funding can also be claimed retrospectively, meaning people who have already invested in flood prevention measures may still be entitled to access the pot of cash.
