Workers in a charity shop in Penzance were concerned at the odd behaviour of a man who chained his push bike to a table inside, before throwing items about.
Police officers found him in a nearby diner where he was shocking customers by drinking from a beer bottle and throwing the liquid all over the place, knocking things over and banging off the walls.
Timothy Edward Courtney, 34, of Wesley Street, Heamoor, Penzance, pleaded guilty at Truro Magistrates’ Court to being drunk and disorderly in Penzance on December 5. He had previous convictions.
He told the magistrates he had been to a birthday party and although he only meant to have one drink, got into an argument and drank more, getting drunk. He went to the dentist afterwards, and then could remember nothing. He said he had been sober since that day.
Courtney was fined £75 and told to pay £105 costs and surcharge.
