A house not far from the world famous Minack Theatre is set for sale at auction.

Clive Emson Auctioneers has been instructed by the trustees of Porthcurno Telegraph Museum to include Mercury House in its March sale. The property, currently five holiday apartments, is on the museum's estate in West Cornwall.

It has a freehold guide price of £450,000 to £500,000.

Graham Barton, auctioneer and regular on BBC One’s Homes Under The Hammer said: "The world famous Minack Theatre is nearby and there are absolutely glorious views down the valley to Porthucurno Bay famous for its fabulous beaches.

"The new owner may wish to continue its use as a holiday complex, although there is obvious potential for a formal break up into apartments, subject to planning consent.

"In addition, the house could be restored to its former glory with a truly breathtaking transformation into a single home."

Mercury House will go under the hammer, in conjunction with Stratton Creber Commercial of Truro, at Clive Emson’s West Country Auction on Thursday March 26 at the St Mellion International Resort.
