One woman had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a cooker fire at Roseven road, Penzance, on Sunday.

Eleven firefighters on two appliances from Penzance attended a call to a mid-terraced home just before 1pm.

The fire was located in a first floor kitchen and crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus with one hose reel and one carbon dioxide fire extinguisher.

A safety jet and a covering jet were also used by the fire crews.

One female was treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.

Once the fire was out a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the home.
