Police in Penzance are appealing for information after valuable paintings were stolen during two burglaries.
The burglaries occurred at two isolated cottages in the village of Zennor sometime between Friday, January 16, and Tuesday, January 27.
Thieves broke into both the homes by forcing a ground floor window, and although nothing was taken from one cottage, four paintings were stolen from the other.
Two of the paintings, by well known St Ives artist Bryan Pearce, are valued in the region of £50,000 each.
Anyone who has any information regarding the burglaries or has seen the paintings since they were stolen is asked to contact police by email on 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk or by phone on 101, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting police reference CR/006508/15.
