Hayle surf lifesaving club have just received delivery of a brand-new aranca inshore rescue boat (IRB), this was only made possible through a lottery awards for all grant for £10,000.

The top of the range rescue boat designed in New Zealand have a 30 hp engine, foot straps, roll over straps and a prop guard which makes them ideal for operating within the surf zone.

The new inshore rescue boat will help provide safety cover for club sessions, Local beach users and local events, whilst also offering flood rescue cover for Hayle and surrounding areas, with our ever changing environment.

This will also help boost our membership as we will be offering flood rescue training, IRB helm and crewing courses.

Hayle SLSC are well respected for there IRB training and have competed to a high standard at National, European and World level. This new inshore rescue boat help build that enthusiasm.
