A flat fire in Heamoor near Penzance meant a woman had to evacuate her home late last night.
Two fire engines were called to the scene at around 11pm, due to reports of a fire in a downstairs flat.
"The female occupant was safely out of the building and with a neighbour," a fires service spokesperson said. "The fire was out on arrival and crews ventilated the property, but there was smoke damage throughout and fire damage in the living room."
It is believed that the fire was accidental.
