Cornwall Council is holding a public meeting to share information and listen to public opinion on plans to build up to 165 houses on land south west of Joannies Avenue, on Halsetown Road in St Ives.

This is an outline application for up to 165 houses, including up to 82 affordable homes, with a community building, open space, play space and associated infrastructure, access, parking, servicing and landscaping.

The public meeting will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, March 1, at St. Ives School, Higher Tregenna, St Ives.

Anyone who attends the meeting who wishes to express their views on the planning application to the West Sub-Area Planning Committee will be asked to register on arrival and will then be called upon to speak.

The public meeting provides an opportunity for councillors to listen to the views of local people, although no decision will be taken at the meeting.

The planning application will be considered and debated at a future meeting of the committee, due to be held on March 7.

Full details of the application can be found on the online planning register under reference number PA15/08967 via the following link:- http://planning.cornwall.gov.uk/online-applications/
