Mysterious “crystals” found on a beach near Penzance have been removed by authorities for further examination.
A member of the public found a package of the unknown substance while at Long Rock yesterday lunchtime.
A crew from Penzance Fire Station was sent to retrieve the package just after 12.45pm.
This was placed in an overdrum used for hazardous materials and taken back to the station.
