A man has died following a crash between a car and a motorbike near Hayle on Saturday night.

The colliosion between a silver coloured Volkswagen Polo and a blue motorcycle happened just before 10.30pm near the Turnpike Inn on Turnpike Road at Connor Downs.

The male motorcyclist, thought to be in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been informed, although formal identification has not taken place.

Officers from the force’s serious collision unit are investigating the collision and wish to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash.
