Burglars stole around £250 in cash after breaking into a Penzance home through an insecure window earlier this month.
Police are investigating the theft, which took place at a residential property in Rosvean Road, Penzance, on Wednesday, August 10, between 7.45pm and 10.15pm.
A police spokesperson said: "It is believed that entry was made through an insecure ground floor window. Two doors were opened inside the property and an untidy search was made. Cash to the value of approximately £250, kept in a wallet and jars, was taken along with a digital camera and a door key.
"Police remind home owners to lock doors and windows when not at home, especially when windows are left open during hot weather, and to leave valuable items and loose cash out of sight."
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the property which was burgled or has any other information which could help with the police investigation is asked to email 101@dc.police.uk or call 101, quoting reference CR/056990/16.
