Police are searching for a 36-year-old man who is believed to have spent Christmas in the Hayle and St Agnes areas after breaching a court imposed restraining order.

Timothy Mitchell is wanted by police as he is suspected to have breached the conditions of an order, issued by Cornwall Magistrates Court on the December 3.

Local enquiries are being conducted to try and trace and arrest him but members of the public are being asked to report any sightings.

Mitchell is aware that police are looking for him and has so far failed to surrender himself or tell officers where he is.

He usually lives in the Newquay area, but police enquiries indicate that over the Christmas period he spent time in the Hayle and St Agnes areas.

Mitchell is described as a white man, aged 36, around 5 feet 10 inches tall and of slim build. He is bald, has blue eyes and usually has a long brown / ginger beard and moustache. He has an Irish accent.
