RECOVERING from their frustrating 12-5 defeat at St. Ives seven days earlier, the Pirates Amateurs recorded this ultimately emphatic victory away to Bude in Counties 1 Tribute Western West, writes Phil Westren.
Ethan Wetherell scored two tries in the game and there was one a piece for Josh Semmens, Tom Nicholas, Tom Hutton, Toby Osborne, and Harvey Stone. Dan-Rhys Evans was also impressively successful off the tee with six conversions.
Speaking after the game, head coach Murray Westren said: "This was a very pleasing result. We had a great day away together and played with a real excitement and freedom.
"When the game was in the balance for a spell it was necessary to show a lot of control and keep calm, and we did just that.
"It was a huge step up from last week, and after two games on the road we are now looking forward to playing back at the Mennaye this Saturday."
