A Helston-born solicitor has accepted the case of a lifetime – by moving to the Falkland Islands to become senior magistrate.
John Trevaskis, who was born on a farm at Trescowe, has already moved to the islands to take up the post, with his wife Jane due to move over in May.
Mr Trevaskis used to work for Hancock and Lawrence firm of solicitors and was often seen as a solicitor at the magistrates’ court in Truro.
He had most recently been carrying out part-time judicial appointments as a Recorder at crown and county courts across the Western Circuit and as an immigration judge in Newport.
