Two police officers from Falmouth cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End for charity are holding an auction this Saturday to help boost funds further.
Police community support officers Sean McDonnell, 43, and Lewis Vague, 24, will cycle more than 950 miles from Scotland to Cornwall in aid of the Cardiomyopathy Association – a charity that helps people affected by heart muscle conditions.
The pair will set out in early June and cycle for nine days, supported by a friend who will be driving alongside them.
They aim to be back in Cornwall just over a week later, and will be met in Lands End by family and friends.
This Saturday an auction featuring gifts donated by businesses in the Falmouth and Penryn area will take place at the Seven Stars pub in Stithians from 7.30pm.
Among the bids are two gym memberships for six and twelve months at the Fit Pit, who are also sponsored the PCSOs and helping Lewis train in the run up to the cycle ride.
