Company's joy at Investors in People award
Regulatory Affairs company TRAC Services has received a glowing assessment after receiving the Investors in People accolade at the first time of asking.
The Camborne-based company, which works with major pharmaceutical companies around the world, came in for high praise from the IIP assessor who highlighted the extremely motivated and professional staff as a key element in the company's on going success and growth.
Since it was launched in 2001 by husband and wife team Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan, TRAC has grown in line with its enhanced reputation amongst the pharmaceutical industry, and has tapped into projects such as Unlocking Cornish Potential to identify and develop graduates in the county.
It is this core approach to the training and development of its staff, which was highlighted as a key factor not just in the award of the IIP standard but in the development and growth of the company.
Director Sarah said she was delighted that the company had achieved the IIP status at the first attempt and was equally pleased with the level of positive feedback from the assessor.
"As a business, we are dealing with some of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the world, so it is vital that our staff are highly trained and motivated.
"Training and development has been core to the business from the outset. Given the technical nature of our business it is essential that staff not only gain an understanding of the industry but continue to develop and increase their knowledge.
"So we were delighted when we not only heard that we had received the Investors in People Standard but saw the feedback from the assessor who highlighted the fact that our staff were highly motivated and extremely positive about the business and the work they were involved in.
"As an employer, it is fantastic for us to see the feedback the team was giving and we feel that this is confirmation that the approach we are taking is the right one, and the award of the IIP status is a reflection of this," said Sarah.
