Managerless Falmouth Town slumped to their second successive defeat last night, losing at home to league champions Bodmin Town.
Reserve team manager Paul Murray and club captain Mark Vercesi took charge for Bodmin's visit, and during the opening exchanges Falmouth more than held their own.
Until last season's golden boot winner Adam Carter opened the scoring for the visitors with a well worked goal on the half hour mark.
Falmouth battled their way back into the game, but fifteen minutes from time Torquay target Chris Luxton nodded in at the back post to score the visitor's second.
And Carter notched up Bodmin's third of the evening two minutes into stoppage time to secure the win.
