Helston Athletic progressed to the third round of the Cornwall Senior Cup after a hard fought victory away at league rivals Wadebridge.

The Blues went a goal down in the first half before strikers Liam Eddy and Mark Goldsworthy continued their fine run of form with a goal apiece to see Sid Taylor's side into the draw for the third round.

Elsewhere Penryn Athletic narrowly edged out Porthleven at Kernick Road.

Kayne Trevaskis opened the scoring for the home side, only for Freddie Williams to level things up for Port with a well-taken goal soon after.

But it was Penryn who booked their place in the next round when Trevaskis popped up with six minutes remaining to thump home the winner from close range.

Porthleven had a chance to even things up in the dying seconds, but Tom Annear could only drag his shot wide of the post.
