Helston Athletic turned in a superb display to sweep aside struggling Peninsula League premier division side Penzance at Penlee Park last night.
A hat-trick from in-form striker Mark Golsdworthy, along with goals from Ben Stidwell and Jamie Thomson, were enough to put the Blues into the quarter finals at a canter.
Eslewhere defending champions Bodmin Town continued their excellent run of form with a commanding 4-1 victory over Ivybridge Town at Priory Park.
Bodmin will visit Torpoint Athletic in the third round, with the quarter finals set to take place at the end of February.
