DOBWALLS 1

Hake

PENRYN ATHLETIC  3

Trevaskis (2), J. Roberts

Penryn Athletic made a winning start to 2013 with an excellent 3-1 victory away at Dobwalls.

The result goes some way towards avenging the Bourough's defeat at the hands of Dobwalls in the Charity Cup, and increases the gap between the two clubs, who sit fourth and fifth in the league, to four points.

Kayne Trevaskis opened the scoring in the tenth minute, heading past Tom Beaman.

But Martin Hake equalised for the home side after Ollie Moody was caught in possession at the back for Penryn.

Trevaskis put the visitors into the lead after half time with his second of the afternoon, slipping the ball under the onrushing Beaman after some good Penryn build-up play.

And Penryn made sure of all three points minutes from time when player-manager Steve Jewell, on for the injured David Blizzard, played in Jason Roberts, who cut inside his marker and fired in their third from a tight angle.

Elsehwere in division one west, Porthleven narrowly edged out Hayle by a goal to nil at Gala Parc.

Godolphin took full advantage of Helston's game at St Dennis being postponed, smashing eight past lowly Moushole without reply to stretch their lead at the top of the table to ten points.

But Truro City slumped to a 3-1 home defeat against title contenders Wadebridge at Treyew Road leaving the north Cornwall club third, level on points with Helston having played one game less.

Full division one west results were as follows:

Dobwalls 1 - 3 Penryn Athletic
Godolphin Atlantic 8 - 0 Mousehole
Holsworthy 0 - 2 Vospers Oak Villa
Perranporth 2 - 0 Foxhole Stars
Porthleven 1 - 0 Hayle
