Falmouth Town striker Matt Drummond has pledged his immediate future to the club.
Newquay had made an approach for the 37 year-old, who returned to the Falmouth lineup after six months out with a broken ankle, and it was feared he would follow Jamie Devine, Wayne Quinn and former captain Mark Vercesi in making the switch to Mount Wise.
But after a 'long conversation' with Town co-manager Les Gilbert, Drummond is expected to remain at Bickland Park, and will be included in the squad to travel to Torpoint this weekend.
New signing from Penryn Athletic Pat Shaughnessy is also expected to play some part after missing last week's game due to work commitments.
