There was a fairly quiet week of six-a-sides at the Cricket Centre, but Falmouth 1 (in the Premier League), Newquay and Wadebridge all recorded wins, writes Michael Weeks.
Adrian Noott, Guy Leathley and Jake Preston all scored well for Falmouth, who made 97 without loss against Grampound Road.
This was enough to get home by 25 runs and reach the semi-finals, though Chris Hunkin made a creditable 32 for the losing side.
Truro in 4th looked like recording their first win of the season as, chasing 85 to win, they were well placed at 61 for 3 from 7 overs, but the innings fell away to 68 all out.
Mark Atkins made 27 of these, whilst Chris Rippin scored 25 not out for Newquay.
Group 5 of the County League was won by Wadebridge, who completed a two-leg victory over Perranporth, after the withdrawal of St Stephen.
James Maycock made 36 not out on Sunday, whilst Charlie Ellis completely demolished the opposition, taking 4 wickets for 6 runs.
