Bodmin's Adam Carter hit a late winner to break Penryn hearts and send Darren Gilbert's side through to the final of the Cornwall Senior Cup after an action-packed game at Bodieve Park.
But the current holders and reigning premier division champions were forced to work hard for the win after going two goals down in the first half and having Shane Krac sent off.
Sean Johson put division on west Penryn a goal up after 14 minutes with a good finish, before doubling their lead just before half time.
But five minutes later Lewis Reed headed in from a corner to put Bodmin back in contention, before Chris Luxton slid in to make it 2-2 on the stroke of half time.
And despite battling hard in the second half, Penryn were powerless to prevent Bodmin's Adam Carter from popping up with the winner with a little over 20 minutes left to play.
Soon after Shane Krac was sent off after receiveing his second yellow card of the game, but despite going down to ten men, Darren Gilbert's side were able to hang on for the win.
Bodmin will play Helston Athletic in the final on Easter Monday at Saltash's Kimberley Stadium. Helston beat premier division Newquay 3-2 after extra time in a thrilling encounter at Treyew Road on Tuesday night.
